We’re at that time of the year where our UK wedding acts getting enquiries in for 2019 and 2020 and it doesn’t seem so far away now. Here’s a few recent additions, randomly chosen by throwing a dart at the screen….
Brand New Groove (above) is a 6 to 11 piece pop, funk, soul, Motown wedding and corporate party band that after several years of flawlessly entertaining audiences and clients throughout the UK, Europe. With a repertoire list of 200 songs ranging from current pop to 70s dance floor classics there’s something for everyone. Featuring some of the UKs finest young musicians and singers from the session world, Brand New Groove now brings them to your event at an affordable price. Ambassador’s boys and girls have performed with artistes such as Adele, Years and Years, Sigala, Ed Sheeran, Manson, RSC, James Bay and the National Theatre to name but a few.
Jon Hart (right) is a multi award-winning (national and double regional) fingerstyle guitarist, singer, beatboxer and looper. Imagine the sound of a live acoustic duo/trio played solo. Jon is an acoustic wedding guitarist and wedding singer that incorporates vocal harmony, fingerstyle guitar and the occasional beatboxing to add a unique twist to those classic covers from all eras, from The Beatles to Ed Sheeran. With a high energy solo performance and experience that spans over a decade, he leaves audiences craving more. By using specialist equipment (no backing tracks), Jon thickens the sound by using a vocal harmony pedal and looping pedal for beatboxing. This gives the impression that a band is playing. Jon’s setup is small and can fit into all venues, but can still create a sound that is powerful or intimate.
One More Time (bottom) are an energetic, vibrant, three piece band who bring life and soul to your party, specializing in set-lists specialising in songs from the 90s and early 00s and each an every song on the list is an absolute banger, designed to get you and your guests up on the floor. The band consists of powerful vocals, acoustic guitar, and percussion and perform songs from acts as diverse as Kelis, Blackstreet, Wheatus and Hanson.
Skedaddle (left) are a fun, upbeat vintage jazz band that are guaranteed to get the dance floor jumping with their high-energy, nostalgic swing sound. Playing songs from the early to mid 1900s, they draw on the rich history of great music by the likes of Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway and Louis Prima, and bring it to life with a fun, engaging show that resonates with all ages. The rhythm is created by the skilled and experienced musicians on piano, double bass, guitar and drums, while melodies and solos are performed on trumpet, clarinet and fiddle. All this is brought together by the sweet old-time style of the vocalist, who weaves stories and emotions through the timeless lyrics and confident showmanship.
Queen Beats (right) are a highly experienced and talented bunch of music-loving ladies that pride themselves on melding creative ideas into well-loved songs to craft the ultimate live party version. With stand alone belters to non-stop dancing medleys you can rely on Queen Beats to make the party! The band blast their way through the years performing hits from James Brown and Tina Turner, to Prince and Lauren Hill, to Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars and back to the 60s and 70s again.
