Edinburgh based rock, pop and ceilidh act The Honey Moons (above) pride themselves on their high-energy performances that get partygoers up on the dance floor and keep them there!  With an extensive musical repertoire from the 1950s through to modern day floor fillers this band caters for every taste and do it in style. The Honey Moons are the perfect party band for both weddings and corporate events and depending on the line-up you can have a great ceilidh set too. The Midnight Specials are a Glasgow and Edinburgh based rock & pop musical collective that can configure their repertoire to perfectly suit your requirements.  The repertoire is, to say the least vast. Comprising of classic rock from Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochran and Americana from Creedence Clearwater Revival, (whose song Midnight Special gave them their name) and up to a few recent chart hits from Adele and Pharrell Williams. Using a pool of about 12 of the very best, original and talented musicians in Scotland who all know each other and work with each other regularly, The Midnight Specials bring true musicianship and genuine performance to your event. The musicians in the band have among other things, won BAFTA’s for original music, featured as live performers in the Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche film Chocolat and collaborated with the likes of KT Tunstall.

One of the more unique acts on the Freak Music book are Edinburgh based Bluegrass band The Banjo Lounge 4 (below). They do innovative funky Bluegrass and Swing mash-up versions of songs to suit all ages from Louis Prima’s Just a Gigolo, Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit, Michael Jackson’s Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough to Beyonce’s Crazy in Love and Dizzee Rascal/Calvin Harris’ Dance Wiv Me. Also thrown in there are a bunch of other classics that the band have tinkered with to make their own including New Order’s Blue Monday, a blistering version of Blur’s Song 2 and Punjabi MC’s Knightrider re-mix of Mundian to Bach Ke. With a lineup of Banjo, Guitar, Double Bass, Drums and three-part harmonies, over the last few years private clients and festival-goers alike have been dancing to their brand new brand of acoustic mash-ups!
