About this Act
Blessed with a voice described by Sir Cameron Mackintosh as "absolutely magnificent", Philippa Healey is a critically-acclaimed West End leading lady and classically trained soprano, with an enormous ability for all performance styles, including rock, pop, and soul.
Although originally a piano and composition student at Chetham''s School Of Music, Philippa''s stunning vocal talent was quickly recognized; winning her a scholarship to the National Youth Choir at the age of 18. After graduating with Honours in Music from University College, Oxford, she was personally chosen by Sir Cameron Mackintosh to star as Cosette in the record-breaking West End production of Les Miserables.
She currently performs all over the world with her contemporary "Pop & Piano" show, which features music by Grammy award-winning artists Adele, John Legend, Sam Smith, and Amy Winehouse. In addition to her pop/piano schedule, Philippa also continues to make numerous international appearances as a classical opera singer, and is a regular soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra (Katherine Jenkins, Alfie Boe).
