Highly professional, multi-talented, and experienced, Bowstring Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band guarantees a fun-filled, friendly evening of music and dance to remember.
Bowstring, formed in 2007, combines the most skilled and experienced callers and musicians in their field. Dance tunes driven by fiddle, whistles, melodeon, mandolin, guitar, bouzouki, harmonica… they can perform as a duo, trio, 4 or 5-piece band with a line-up tailored to suit your event and budget. With an extensive repertoire including Irish (St.Patrick’s), Scottish (Burns Night/St. Andrew’s), English (St. George’s), and Americana they offer a full evening’s entertainment of music for dancing. The experienced caller is skilled at coaxing your guests onto the dance floor and guiding them through a range of interesting dances suitable for complete beginners and more experienced dancers alike. If your guests need to catch their breath between the energetic dances, Bowstring performs a wide variety of traditional and more contemporary songs and tunes to entertain them.
Collectively Bowstring is the ideal choice for your event be it a private party, corporate function, wedding, christening, barn dance, ceilidh, concert or festival. Individually, the band members have worked all over the world, singing and playing concerts and ceilidhs, Radio, TV, Films etc.
Ramona the fiddle player and band leader can also be hired as a solo harpist to play during the meal, reception, or for your wedding ceremony.
