The west midlands and it’s  surrounding conurbations have given the world a few diverse influential chaps over the years, from Robert Plant to Mike Skinner of Streets fame and even Benjamin Zephaniah, who I alway thought was from London, shows what I know. There is also a lot of high quality live wedding acts in the west midlands, and a smattering can be found below…

Combining years of experience with very reasonable prices, The Domino Band  have performed with or in front of such prestigious guests as the Queen, Paul McCartney, Take That and Elton John to name a few. Their live appearances have taken us from World Cruises right through to London’s West End, The Royal Albert Hall, The Jonathan Ross Show and BBC Radio 2. The Domino Band are also proud to feature their famous ‘No Need For A DJ’ service – LIVE music all night? The Domino Band can provide it! – they will handle your entire nights entertainment package so you don’t need to pay extra for a DJ.

Celtic Clan is the Irish band that doesn’t just do Irish! They’re perfect for everything from weddings through to corporates, garden parties and more – anywhere you need an atmospheric blend of music designed to get people mingling, dancing and having fun. Of course, they’ve the capability to do full Irish nights (they played Cheltenham Races on St Patrick’s day), but for mixed party nights too, they’re perfect, as their blend of music mixes everything from jigs and reels through to Irish/Celtic pop (like Dexy’s Midnight Runners (Come on Eileen)’ The Proclaimers (500 Miles), The Corrs’ So Young; Fairytale of New York etc), plus current and vintage pop (Daydream Believer through to Adele), and even a spot of Ceilidh with a caller!

Paul Rahme has over 13 years’ experience performing on his own, in bands and with singer/songwriters. He is fully classically trained but plays mostly by ear. Based in Birmingham he travels to other locations in or around the Midlands to play at wedding ceremonies/receptions, civil partnerships, luncheons, restaurants, corporate occasions, private parties and more. His repertoire covers all genres, including classical, jazz, contemporary, to the latest pop songs and he can take requests from guests. In the event that you would like him to play a special song which he does not already know, he will happily learn it prior to the occasion.

The Nero String Quartet (below) consists of four professional musicians who have trained at top UK conservatories. In 2003 they won first prize in The Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music competition and were also awarded The Derek Young Memorial Award. They have performed for music clubs across the country as well as performing in The United States, France, Spain, Italy and the Middle East. In 2007 they received The Elgar Award. They are one of the most sought after quartets in the UK and have extensive experience of playing at weddings and functions. They also work with professional orchestras (BBC, WNO, ESO) and have performed on luxury cruise ships including P&O, Fred Olsen and Cunard. In addition to their classical work, members of the quartet have also performed on TV, Film and Pop recordings, most recently performing on GMTV and Don’t Tell the Bride.
