The Declaration Band

According to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, soul is “music that arose out of the black experience in America through the transmutation of gospel and rhythm & blues into a form of funkysecular testifying.” Whatever that means. All we know is that it’s a popular genre for the more discerning Scottish wedding.

The Soul Kings are one of the most exciting acts to appear for many years. Capturing perfectly the greatest hits of the Tamala Motown and Disco era. The Soul Kings combine dynamic vocals with slick dance routines, smart suits, big Afro hair, shades and a lot of attitude. This is real entertainment with the emphasis on fun.

The Declaration band (pictured) are the original good time band playing old time classics that will keep you on your feet and dancing the night away. The Declaration band combine blues, soul and rock n roll. They boast a full brass section and always dress to impress. The band are based in Arbroath and have quickly gained a reputation in Angus and Tayside for their slick style and performance. With a loyal following the band have been going from strength to strength….if you haven’t seen this band, you don’t know what you’re missing!

Stax of Motown are an 11 piece Soul band celebrating the music from these two Iconic Record Labels. Based in Scotland these Musicians have a passion for Soul and have performed with Hue & Cry , Curtis Stigers, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Wolfstone, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Skerryvore, The Average White Band and Carol Kidd to name a few !…….
