"A massive thank you for playing so wonderfully at our wedding on 18th August at Wedderburn Castle!
The music was phenomenal, I couldn't have hoped for it to be better. It was wonderful, when I was flapping and worrying so much, when you said "leave it all to us" and it just turned out wonderfully! You had my "non-dancing" friends on the dancefloor all night. Our first and second dance songs were just perfect, I will never forget that first dance with my new husband.
The way you finished the evening as well was great, such a wonderful night full of happiness!
Thanks again, and the very best for your future."

"Thank you for playing for Fran and I’s big day last weekend. We were looking for a band that wasn’t your typical cheesy wedding band and you guys certainly weren’t that. All the covers were brilliant aswell as the ceilidh dancing. The mix of singers and saxophone made for an awesome sound and kept everyone dancing. Also very grateful for letting our wee band play a couple of tunes before letting the pros back to it.
Would have no hesitation in recommending you guys for a wedding and hope to see you at another one soon
Thanks again"

"Hi Phil and band!
"Thank you for the fantastic music at our daughter Charlotte's wedding at Balbirnie on Friday, it really set the seal on a perfect day. Everyone has been telling us how much they liked the band!
The Ceilidh interludes were terrific fun and got everyone on the floor!
But special thanks for the First Dance tune, "Rosie", it was truly special, and we know Charlotte is thrilled with the cover recording you sent her.
Best regards"

"Hi,
Scott and I just wanted to drop you an email to say thank you so much for an amazing night on Saturday 19th May at our wedding reception. You guys were amazing and made sure that people were up dancing. Every guest we spoke to during the night kept saying how great you were and it is so true.
Scott and I are very sorry that we didn't get to catch you before you left, I hope you made it back down the road ok.
Once again thank you so much and if there is anywhere where you would like us to leave feedback for future clients to review please let us know as we would be happy to do so.
Kind regards"

"Phil, sorry it's taken a while to get this written. A long overdue and heartfelt thanks for performing at our wedding, and another thorough recommendation for anyone reading through these testimonials. We managed to book the Honey Moons at just a couple of months' notice and are simply delighted that we did. From first contact to last, you've been a pleasure to deal with. All super relaxed, organised, enthusiastic and cheerful on the night as well which was appreciated. Extremely happy that you were able to learn a specific song for our first dance, again at short notice. It was performed beautifully and we appreciated you sending us the recording of it the very next day. Our guests all had a great time (as did we) and we received loads of comments congratulating us on our choice of entertainment. Folk were thoroughly impressed with you. I would have absolutely no problems recommending the Honey Moons to anyone. You really made a tremendous contribution to our big day and AnneLouise and I are both very grateful. I should also add that for the performance and the professionalism, we felt your fee was tremendous value.
Very much hope to see you on stage again at some other wedding in the future. All the best and thanks again."

"Thank you so much for playing our wedding on 4th November at Fasque. All my guests loved you and we’ve had so many compliments on you guys. We really couldn’t have asked for a better band.
Thank you"

"Wow. You guys were brilliant. Sorry it took our party a while to get going. That free bar was not a great idea at the start but meant the floor filled later !!
"Hi Phil,
"My wife and I cannot describe how happy we both are, that we chose 'The Honey Moons' for our wedding at Crear in July 2017.
We spent a great deal of time at showcase events scouting out a band for our perfect day, but after seeing The Honey Moons play a set at the Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh, we had no hesitation and booked.
Firstly I must detail that the communication from Phil throughout the whole process was second to none. From discussion of setlist to the planning of the days logistics.
Kirstin's voice
There are so many things that we feel sets 'The Honey Moons' apart from other bands. Firstly Kirsten has such a unique voice that really appealed to both of us. An almost mix of Debbie Harry and Angel Olson. At the wedding Kirsten sang impeccably and with passion. Kirsten's voice coupled with the full sound of the bands, jangly guitars and soulful saxophone really makes for something special.
The Honey Moons also went above and beyond the call of duty by making a special recording of our first dance song. We requested this due to having a routine for our first dance and were given a Mp3 file , which we will cherish and have forever.
On the evening of the wedding, the band were very professional and non invasive when setting up for their performance. Our guests were all on the floor for the sound check (not realising it was a soundcheck) and the band were great at filling the floor throughout. The band also expertly guided our guests through three ceilidh tracks, which was a lovely experience.
At the end of the night the guests were raving about how good the band were and all comments were very positive. Kirsten and Phil also came to have a quick chat with us and we thanked them for providing the perfect entertainment for our big day."

"Hi Phil and the band,
We would just like to say thanks so much for playing our wedding on Saturday night, it was some party! Your version of our first dance was awesome. Everyone commented on how great you were and was amazing to see the dance floor so full from start to finish. Thanks for throwing a few Irish songs into the music at the break. I think our Irish guests really enjoyed the ceilidh. You have a really great band and we wish you all well for the rest of the wedding season!
Thanks!"

"The Honey Moons played at our festival themed wedding on 8th July and fully lived up to our hopes and expectations. When researching bands their site was irresistible!! We knew we had made a great choice and we could not wait for the reception. The band were easy to communicate with, made us feel like no request was too much and were happy to learn our song for the first dance. Every single guest, from age 3 - 86 danced throughout the evening and raved about the band. The Honey Moons embraced our festival theme with their playlist, which was outstanding. I never left the dance floor! At the end of the evening the band made our son's day by signing autographs on their set list. A treasure to keep forever.
"Hi Phil and the Honey Moons,
Myself and Stephanie would like to say a huge thank you for performing at our wedding. You guys were absolutely fantastic and we genuinely couldn't have asked for a better band; you managed to make an already fantastic day even better. Everyone had an amazing time and your cover of 500 Miles was great.
Thanks again."

"The Honey Moons are in a league of their own, way above any other wedding band that I have ever heard in my many years as a wedding photographer.
Graham and I put the band and the budget for our band way above other things that we wanted for our wedding. We know that the band can make or break your evening and that we wanted one that would exceed everyones' expectations.
The Honeymoons were worth every single penny and I'd book them again in a heartbeat and will be recommending them to my future clients.
They sounded amazing and we have had so many positive comments from our guests to say how brilliant The Honeymoons. We loved their sound, playlist, look, attitude and professionalism. From the moment we booked you we have had such a professional service. They answered all our emails very quickly, communication with them was great and they really understood what we wanted from our evening. They were polite and worked incredibly hard all night. They all seemed to be so happy and having a great time, just like we were. The dance floor was full all night!!
Thanks so much to all of you,
We LOVED The Honey Moons!!

"To the amazing Honey Moons,
Mark and myself would like to say a huge thank you for playing at our wedding on the 5th November 2016 at Castle Menzies, Aberfeldy. From the initial enquiry re: your availability, to copying with my frequent emails with 'just another question', to on the actual day you made the process so easy and were very flexible and efficient. The band has such a great appearance and such huge talent. All of your songs including ceilidh were outstanding, the dance floor was never empty. During the night many guests commented to myself that you were the best wedding band they had ever heard and we would definitely agree. We would love to get to dance away the night again to your music so will be encouraging everyone we know to book with you!"
Love from the new Mr & Mrs Rowlinson
" Hi Phil,
Sorry for the late reply. We have just started to return to normal life - it's difficult!
Thank you so much for playing at our wedding. All our friends and family commented on how amazing you all were and I think you read the audience just right! I must admit that I was slightly worried people wouldn't dance but as soon as you played the first couple of tracks, all those worries slipped away.
Thank you for putting up with our appalling drunken attempts at the Ceilidh dances - even if we couldn't do them it was so much fun! You didn't even seem to be surprised when the inflatable guitars, saxophones and fancy dress came out - thanks for being so cool about it.
I wouldn't hesitate to ask you to perform again if ever the need arises. Thank you for topping off such a great day!"
Best regards,

"To the Honey Moons!,
Apologies that this has been a bit delayed, David and I have had a busy few months moving to and getting settled in Vancouver. We'd like to say a MASSIVE thank you for playing at our wedding in May at Oran Mor. Your performance was fantastic, we're so glad we went for the 6 piece option, if definitely added an extra dose of energy, both for the Ceilidh and the regular tunes. The retro-themed set list was perfect, right up our street (and our guests!).
Aside from the actual getting married bit, your performance was the part of the wedding I was looking forward to most and I wasn't disappointed (until the clock struck midnight of course!).
I found myself speaking to guests as quickly as possible so I could on the dance floor and that is where I remained for the rest of the night! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed it too, the floor was not empty once (not even on the break!)"
Best wishes,

"Hi Phil, we wanted to contact you to thank you and the band for a fantastic show at our wedding on Saturday night. The feedback and comments from our guests was so complimentary and the whole evening was a great success. A special note of thanks for the final song as this provided a bit of a curveball for some of our guests, but they no us and knew we would not be doing the same old thing!
Once again a huge thanks for you the band and all your support team for putting on a fantastic night that will be truly remembered."
Many thanks

"Hi guys, this is long overdue but I did want to leave a testimonial.
What an amazingly epic band !! The videos do little justice to the live performance. People say a band can make or break a wedding. I can with all confidence say this band will make it ! A few months after my wedding I still have friends and family asking what the name of the bad is and how great they are. The members are friendly and personable and more importantly they rock. They created an exciting and enchanting atmosphere. Everyone was dancing ! If you are thinking about the ceilidh option don't, just take it. This adds a whole new dimension to the night and is far to enjoyable to miss out on. I cannot recommened the Honey Moons more. Without them I think my wedding might have been half as fun. They definitely know how to party"

"Hi guys,
We are long overdue in thanking you for the great performance at our wedding. We had a lot of wall flower guests and you seemed to lure them onto the dance floor like the Pied Piper. Your play list had something for everyone - from the old classics that our parents loved to current artists for the younger crowd, and my favorite: the 80s classics. Thank you so much for making our reception a great time for us, and all of our guests!"

"I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for playing at our wedding yesterday. We absolutely LOVED the music, you are all super, super talented, got the playlist absolutely spot on and you all just look like you love playing together and have a great time which made our wedding reception just perfect :) Obviously it was even more special to have Ruairidh in the band and although it pains me to say a little(!) he is a fantastic drummer and I was a very proud sister yesterday :) Please pass my thanks onto everyone in the band for travelling up and playing yesterday. I can honestly say everyone commented on how amazing the band was and they thoroughly enjoyed the music which was plain to see as the dance floor was filled all night! We just loved our first dance song also, Kirsten sang it beautifully.
It was lovely to meet you all and finally put faces to names, we really can't thank you all enough!"

"The honeymoons performed at our wedding on the 6th June 2015. When we started looking for a band we knew we wanted a nice mix of ceilidh but also a band that could sing well, play well and did a different mix of songs. When we found the honeymoons they couldn't have more perfectly fitted the bill. They are amazing musicians, songs are different and Kirsten's voice is just incredible.
We came to see them at a preview night which I would recommend as it was so nice and fun to see them all play and get excited at the thought of them playing at our wedding. wedding prep can be stressful so a night off was great. needless to say we booked them that night, all of them, as once we heard the sax live along with the fiddle we knew we could not find a better band!!
From the beginning of booking the agency were very clear and responsive in getting contracts sorted. Phil communicated with us about what we would like and everything was clear which was great not to have any worries on the day. They even learnt 2 songs for us as we were torn between them. All in all their actual incredible talent and nice helpful nature made them so great to work with, I would recommend them to anybody, and I have had several friends say they were incredible and passed on their details to friends of theirs planning their own weddings.
We cannot thank you enough for helping make our wedding day so special. I never would have thought I would actually find a band that good. You made sure on the night that we were in the room for our 2 special songs. your ceilidh music rocked! and the added wee bonus of playing paradise city for a special flower girl as it was her birthday just added to the whole package. Thank you all, we had a wonderful day and we couldn't have asked for more or been given better service."

"We did a lot of research into bands for the wedding because entertainment was our highest priority. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves and rocking the dance floor was our main aim for the day! I did lots of googling and narrowed it down to a few local bands and The Honey Moons. I couldn’t stop listening to Kirsten’s voice – she has an unbelievable tone that drags you back for more! We didn’t go and see them live, we just had a feeling that they would deliver on the day. And deliver the certainly did! From the first dance which they sung especially for us, the selfies during ‘sit down’ and even having me on the microphone! The dance floor was NEVER empty and lots of our guests commented on how fantastic the evening was. We had the best day and The Honey Moons certainly played a massive part in that. It was very easy to get in touch and they were really accommodating with any requests. We’d recommend them to anyone – actually we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Thank you guys."

"Hi! Just a little message for you guys to say we cannot thank you enough for how amazing you were on our wedding night and we are sorry we didn't get a chance to say thank you properly on the night!! You were a fantastic band who finished off our brilliant wedding day with some wonderful ceilidh music, that really got everyone up on their feet and merry! And on top of that played the most amazing set list from start to finish with perfect stage presence. You were professional yet approachable throughout and were more than helpful with any queries or requests. Thank you for making our day so special!"

We're just back from our honeymoon and getting round to thanking folk!
We wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the band for such a fantastic set - the music was first class and we had an absolute ball. I think The Chain at the end of the night will go down in history. All of our guests loved having a dance and there are a few aspiring Kirsten's out there now!
We're still waiting on official photos, however if there are any of the band, I'll send them on.

"The Honey Moons were brilliant from initial inquiries right through to performing on the night. We dealt mostly with Phil who is a top guy, he even met my Fiance for a coffee to discuss what we wanted for our wedding. We opted for the 5 piece with Sax and after booking Phil kept in contact with us all the way up to the wedding to ensure everything was going well. On the night they sounded amazing! They learnt 2 songs that we requested for our first dances then kept the dance floor full all night with tune after tune. They were a great laugh and lots of fun, we even had Kirsten up dancing with us at the end of the night!
We can't recommend the Honey Moons highly enough! They were exactly the type of band we wanted on our wedding day. Great musicians, Great selection of tunes and all in all, great fun. Thanks for an amazing evening."

You were so helpful while we sorted out all the arrangements and made sure we were happy with everything planned.
The music was amazing from start to finish. All our guests, young and old, were really impressed and the dance floor was full all night. The whole band really looked like they were having a great time playing too - which just made it all the more fun. We can't recommend them highly enough.
Brilliant set list, fab ceilidh and awesome playing all night. Now we just need to find another excuse to hire them again.
Thank you so much guys"

"We just wanted to drop you a note to say how fantastic the band were at our wedding reception, August 14th 2014 at Close House Hotel. Everybody commented on how amazing the lead singer was and how talented all the band members were playing numerous instruments.
The band set the tone of the evening perfectly and warmed up our guests to dance until the dance floor was jumping. I remember people coming up to me after the band had finished saying could they not play anymore?
After searching for months for a wedding band I struggled to find a band that would play a range of music to accommodate all ages of my guests. After hearing the lead singers voice I knew that The Honey Moons would be perfect for our wedding, and by god I was right!
Thank you so much for allowing my brother to use your equipment to sing my first dance song this really meant a lot to us both and the band were very accommodating to this.
I would recommend anybody to book this band if you want a professional, and friendly band. They would be excellent at any event and will definitely be booking them again. If you're looking for a band book The Honey Moons!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you,thank you, thank you."

“We auditioned what seemed like 20-30 different bands for our big day, but heard nothing special. Then, we stumbled upon The Honey Moons. One listen to Kirsten’s voice and the retro music they played and we were hooked. They offered something different to the average covers band and we simply had to have them at our wedding!
Leading up to the big day, we communicated with Phil via email to ensure everything was in place. Phil was charming, professional and more than happy to accommodate our every need (e.g. learning our first dance and including a few ceilidh songs on the night).
On our wedding day itself, the band arrived promptly and set-up with minimal fuss. Beginning slowly, our first dance was covered to perfection. Then, the party really started. When it did, our guests were simply blown away - they were fantastic! I’ve never before been at a wedding where the dance floor has been filled from start to bitter end!
There was no defined set list, instead the band’s preference was to gauge the mood on the dance floor in choosing their next song. This worked well and ensured the dance floor was packed all night. The band were more than happy to play some ceilidh music throughout the night, which added to the Scottish flair and was executed flawlessly. A good band can really make a wedding reception and the feedback from our guests was that the Honey Moons were fantastic!"

"I just wanted to drop you both a quick mail to give you both some feed back on the Honeymoons who came down to Galloway to play at our wedding.
When the band hadn't turned up by 7.15 I have to say I was beginning to panic a little and just at that point Phil called to say that they had had a disaster with one of their speakers falling through the back window of the tour bus! My heart sank, however he reassured me that they were on route and 20 mins later in a cloud of dust they all arrived.
Panic over and the band set up in record time, and before we knew it my wife and I were on the dance floor.
What can I say. They were amazing. Kirsten's voice is amazing and the vibe and sound the whole band create is fantastic. From the first song until the end of the night, they gave it their all and kept the dance floor filled. Everybody I have spoken to since the wedding have raved about the band, so a big thank you to you all. I am just hoping that I get the chance to see you guys play again sometime in the not too distant future.
Many thanks again
Kind regards

"My husband and I would highly recommend The Honeymoons. They were very accommodating and efficient in communications. On the night we had many guests at our wedding comment on how much they enjoyed the music and loved the female singers voice. The band had been flexible enough to add in a couple more ceilidh dances than they usually do which we loved! A great combination. We would definitely use them again!

“I just wanted to let you know that the Honeymoons were a brilliant band, in every respect. They were great in turning up and setting up in time; flexible with their start but more important – their music was fantastic. As soon as they started, the dance floor filled up and it literally stayed that way all night. The added saxophonist made a huge impact and all in all, a great night and everyone was commenting on how superb the band were. My thanks to Phil and his team and please feel free to use this email on your website – they deserve many more bookings!”

"Just to say that firstly I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to properly come and say hello on Saturday and secondly, thank you so so much, you guys were amazing! You absolutely made the night and everyone has been raving about how great you were!
The Honey Moons played our wedding the weekend before last and they were superb. We have had constant comments since the wedding on how fantastic they were and we even heard that our neighbours had the football turned down so that they could listen to them from across the field. They got themselves in and set up in the middle of a busy marquee without anyone even noticing and kept everyone dancing from the minute they started! Their setlist was fantastic and they are an enormously talented group of people. Thanks again for a fantastic night,

The band play these songs using the instrumentation that is available to them so all the songs are arranged for x2 guitars, a bass guitar, drums, male and female vocal, plus if you choose to book them a Tenor Saxophone/Flute/Whistles or fiddle (or both). Also they may play a song in a completely different style to he original recording as they believe it can make the song better to dance to, or they just fancy being creative…
They guarantee that their enthusiasm, energy and musicality will shine through and that if you and your guests are music fans then you will enjoy their interpretation of what they believe to be some of the best songs of all time. They love what they do and they love these songs - trust them!
