The historic city of Bristol in the south west is a veritable hotbed of wedding venues in and around the place as well as a well known location for wedding bands for hire. Here’s a totally non-scientific round up of a few acts we work with in the area.
Astereo Jacks (above) are an experienced party band with an extensive repertoire that is guaranteed to get your guests up and dancing. This highly energetic Bristol based wedding band perform hits from across the decades with songs from The Beatles, The Clash, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Rolling Stones, Status Quo, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys, The Kinks and much more.
The 1st Call Singing Waiters (bottom) have been established for over ten years. The act blend in to the event by dressing the same as the venue’s staff, even helping serve the dessert course so your guests believe them to be the real deal. On cue, to the complete surprise to your guests they suddenly burst into song! Simple but effective.
The Bristol String Quartet (right) is a well-established string quartet with years of experience playing at weddings and corporate functions in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Somerset, and beyond. With a repertoire of nearly 700 pieces, they can help create the perfect atmosphere for any event; from a small intimate wedding to a large corporate function.
Bristol based jazz, swing and soul band The Kings (left) have a combined experience of nearly two decades. George and Molly perform wonderfully fresh arrangements of popular tunes with flawless execution, leaving audiences captivated.
They are passionate about jazz and soul, and it shows in their 300 strong repertoire as they perform a variety of high quality music, from eloquent Jazz standards and upbeat swing to popular soul classics and mellow contemporary pop. Requests are also welcome as they are able to easily learn and master new material and arrangements.
