As opposed to Wednesday’s Edinburgh-centric offering, this week’s new acts are 100% England based wedding and function acts. Seven years ago, we took on someone with the specific task of pushing the represented acts into south of the border, we told him “maybe three or four months work”. He’s still here….
The Brightsides (above) are a highly professional function band, guaranteed to get your party started! Their mixture of current pop songs mixed with classic hits ensures that there are songs for everyone to enjoy. The band are high energy from start to finish, and their trademark dual vocalists are excellent at keeping the audience engaged and having fun. All six musicians are highly experienced, having individually performed all over the world.
Hello Gyro (right) are a 4 piece function band formed in the heart of the Peak District. Collectively, Pete, Harry, James and Corinne have a combination of over 30 years’ experience in the music industry playing in professional bands of all shapes and sizes. They were formed in December 2017 and they have been playing gigs together ever since at functions, parties, corporate events, weddings, pubs and clubs! The live show includes an ever growing repertoire and if you would like something a little more personal special requests can be built into the set list upon query. Over the past 7 years the singers have been involved in a whole host of Weddings, high-profile performances, music videos and events including The X Factor, BBC Proms, Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice and University Gospel Choir of the Year. The
London based group are highly sought after and have performed at many exclusive events, including an appearance with Mariah Carey.
Craig Anthony Nelson (left) fronts a four-piece live jazz, bebop and Latin band, based in Bristol, that can offer a range of options, from soloist saxophones right up to a five-piece set. They cover a range of covers in their jazz club style and perform up-tempo standards, ballads and bossa-novas. They take their musical cues from acts such as Billie Holiday, Miles Davis and Duke Ellington, talented musicians in their own right, they are also able to improvise original and unique jazz sax tunes.
