The A & E ceilidh band was formed in 2000 by two friends who played music together throughout school and into their adult lives. Ally and Edward play between them accordion, highland bagpipes and drums. They were joined in the band by talented guitarist and singer Balfour Christie, who has been a musician for over 30 years.

Their creative and vibrant style of west coast playing ensures that dancers and musical enthusiasts alike will have their feet tapping all night long! They have been in big demand throughout the highlands and islands playing for weddings, ceilidhs and dances. The band call out all dances and will take you through the steps as the music plays to ensure everyone gets the best possible expierience of an A & E ceilidh.

Where are they based?

The band are based in the Isle of Skye but regularly play throughout Scotland
