The Astor String Quartet is based in Banbury, Oxfordshire but are prepared to travel far and wide.
The Astor String Quartet is an all-girl string quartet with many years experience playing at weddings, product launches, birthday parties and corporate functions.
The quartet has a vast and varied repertoire collected over many years from classical through to rock and pop. They can even coordinate their outfits to fit in with your colour scheme!
Their experience has often led to them being asked for assistance with the planning and choice of repertoire, which of course, they are more than happy to do to help make your occasion more memorable and enjoyable.
The Astor String Quartet comprises four professional musicians, trained at The Royal College of Music and The Royal Academy of Music. Individual members have played for London West End shows Les Miserable and The Sound of Music. They've played for the RPO, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Covent Garden, English National Ballet and the London Mozart Players amongst others. They have also made television appearances and given radio broadcasts.
The quartet has played for many prestigious clients such as HRH The Prince of Wales, British Airways, E.M.I., Hoverspeed, B.M.W., Jane Seymour, The Lord Mayor of London and Diana, Princess of Wales and Raymond Blanc to name but a few.
