Pavlos is based in London but has performed almost all over the UK, Scotland, Wales and internationally in countries like France, Italy, Turkey, Qatar, Germany and Brazil.
Pavlos Mélas's Greek collective is formed by musicians with expert knowledge of Greek music. Unique in the wealth and diversity of their repertoire they cover all genres of Greek music from "Zorba the Greek" to special wedding tunes from different parts of Greece and Cyprus.
The musicians' repertoire includes hundreds of Hellenic tunes, ranging from classics like Zorba the Greek and Never on Sunday to much less known songs in the categories of Tsamikos, Mantilatos, Pentozalis, Ikariotikos, Haniotikos and Ionian-island Serenades. Performing as groups of two to eight members, the performers aim to satisfy the entertainment requirements of each party. Their instruments include bouzouki, guitar, accordion, violin, baglama, percussion and kanun.
Dancers and DJs can be recommended subject to request. In wedding -parties where both Greek and English entertainment is required, it can be a good idea to mix the elements by having a Greek band for the reception, dinner and first part of the evening and a DJ for the rest of the night.

The musicians ''... take risks when they improvise challenging the traditional Greek sounds and providing instruments, songs, and sounds in a totally unexpected way ...''

..thanks for the lovely music on Tuesday. It really lifted and moved us all...makes English winter a little less grey and fills us with some healthy love for Greece and our culture.
"Thank you so much for everything - EVERYONE commented on how amazing you were, Greeks and English. I know the family especially loved the Trikala song you played. You really set the atmosphere, and for me the special touch was being serenaded as we arrived at the reception :) The photographer (on my facebook friends), said the photos will be ready in a couple of weeks. We are off to Santorini tomorrow for a weeks honeymoon...
