The band are based in Merseyside and play across the North West of England and North Wales
Established 11 years ago, Celtic Knot is one of Merseyside's most popular ceilidh bands. The band consists of 5 musicians and a caller, who explains the dances to the audience. The line-up consists of fiddle, melodian, bouzouki, double bass and bodhran. The band can also provide a sound engineer and full P.A. system, including lighting, which is ideal for the bigger venues.
The band play a range of Irish, Scottish and English tunes, and call a range of country dances.
The band provides Ceilidhs for weddings and special occasions, as well as large corporate events. Their corporate clients have included the National Green Party, Liverpool University, the National Association for Family Therapy , John Moores University, Homebaked-Anfield, Liverpool Hope University, Merseyside Royal Marines, Bootle Team Ministry, Wirral and 5 Boroughs CAMHS Services. The band are regular performers at Wirral Folk on the Coast Festival, Warrington Irish Culture Weekend, Stockton Heath and Egremont Festivals. The band can provide smaller line-ups for more intimate settings.
