The band are based in County Durham and regularly play all over Northumberland , County Durham, Teesside and the northern part of North Yorkshire.
Ceilidh Knights are a band who can play background music before the Ceilidh starts then demonstrate every dance if required with further instructions called during the dances. The caller is a very experienced Scots ceilidh dancer who has been running Ceilidhs since the 80's in Scotland, who then moved to the North East of England and calls while playing keyboards. The keyboards sound includes high quality electronic accordion, piano and bass sounds which are mixed live from the keyboard while playing to adjust for different acoustics of the venue to be strong and clear for dancing. The violin takes the lead and the drums providing good lively rhythms to keep the dancers on the floor all night.
The well established covers band including male singer, guitar, bass and drums have been working together since 2004. To increase the range of songs suitable for the band, added the female lead singer in 2008 and now both singers add backing vocals while the other is taking the lead.
The highly experienced DJ is a member of the band and takes over between sets and after the band is finished the last set till midnight and can take requests on the night but prefers to work from a playlist provided by the client or at least an idea as to what style of music is wanted.
