About this Act
The Kinlochard Ceilidh Band has been around for over 30 years and they have played on every continent in the world save South America. They represented Scotland at the millenium in the Epcot Centre, Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida and play on tour in Ireland every year, principally at the Galway Sessions Festival. Set-calling is an important feature of the band which ensures everyone can enjoy the set dances.
As a trio, typical line-up will be accordion, fiddle/2nd accordion, and drums including vocals/set caller. Quartet would feature 2 accordions, fiddle and drums. The band also supply pipers for wedding service and reception and piper with dancers for corporate entertainment. It can also provide a disco with DJ. The band has recorded six albums/cds, two of which have received Silver Discs from the Scottish Music Industry Association.
