Sergio Prazeres & Bossa Trio

Sergio Prazeres is a Portuguese singer and guitarist.

Sergio has kept the flame lit for authenticating the wonderful rhythmic and pulsating sound of Brazil, bringing a shimmering and scintillating pulse to Bossa Nova, Samba, and MPB ( Musica Popular Brasileira). His stunning guitar and vocal resonates beautifully with the majesty of that wonderful country’s musical tradition. Accompanying Sergio, in Bossa Trio are Nick Gould ( tenor sax) and Kevin Dorrian (percussion) bringing extra vibrancy to the music. Bossa Trio can also be joined by our special guest artist from Brazil, vocalist Giulia Drummond adding her distinct Shruti Box and percussion accompaniment

Sergio has toured in several countries such as Portugal, Spain, Scotland, England, Brazil, Denmark, Nederland, and Italy as a solo, duo and trio.

The Bossa Trio led by Sergio has captivated audiences with its infectious, rhythmic Brazilian music ; songs beautifully sung in his native Portuguese, which capture the very pulse of Rio, the Copacabana and the inner-city Favelas with a host of traditional Brazilian musical forms: Samba, MPB, Forró, Reggae, Xote, Maracatu and of course, Bossa Nova, lying at the very heart of this wonderful band´s musicality.
