The duo is based in Stockport, Manchester and usually plays within a 1.5 hour drive distance. But they often gig in and around Edinburgh as well and are not adverse to travel further.
Dennis Westerberg and Micaela Petersson have worked successfully in the industry together for half a decade. They have a huge setlist, big sound, great banter and confidence - they will not disappoint as attested by private clients, agencies and corporations. The duo's sound is made up of guitar, harmonica and a high quality stomp box to enhance the bass - as well as shaker, tambourine and various other percussion to make the sound as big (or as small) as needed. But instruments aside, their real strength lies in their luscious harmonies.
As their act Westerburgh & Micaela they are a high-energy acoustic folk/country/blues/pop duo. Originally from Sweden, they have crafted their product for audiences in both the UK and Australia since 2012 whilst playing a range of venues and residencies. They are currently based in Manchester, actively gigging in Northern England and Scotland.
Their proven sound and stripped acoustic setup work really well as a main act or support for a bigger band. They have performed at functions of all sizes and also love playing in smaller venues such as cafés or bars. Westerburgh & Micaela can provide everything from chilled out acoustic background tunes to sing-a-long party music. They are stylish and come equipped with powerful speakers, quality mics, leads and stands. Quick setup, quick take-down - and they are always on time.
"Micaela and Dennis were fantastic. They played at myself and my husband's joint 49th and 50th birthday party and we would definitely recommend them. They were very friendly and very professional. They have a huge repertoire of songs from across the decades. They were a big hit with our guests. We got lots of positive comments from our friends about how fantastic their music was."

"Micaela and Dennis were the perfect choice for my recent party. Brilliant musicians who really brought the party to life. So many of my friends commented how good they were and how much they enjoyed their music. Professional, yet so friendly and easy to deal with. Definitely the highlight of the night and I'm looking forward to hearing them again. Thanks for making my special night so memorable."
- Christine Greenwood, Manchester
"Micaela and Dennis made our wedding day very special by playing wonderful music and creating a great atmosphere at the ceremony, reception and on the dancefloor. Everything from their arrival to departure went smooth and easy since they both are very easy to work and communicate with. My husband and I had asked them if they could learn a few of our favourite songs - which they did very beautifully. After the wedding we got a lot of comments on how great the band was both musically as well as to read and feel the mood of the guests and play songs thereafter.
Thank you very much for making our wedding day so special and giving it that extra sparkle."

"Shooting the Leek Blues & Moorlands Americana as the official photographer has both its good and bad points. The good is obviously seeing loads of great bands, the bad is that you see some of them for only 1 song. I have to admit that going to Beyond The Pale to see Westerburgh & Micaela, would not have made my list if I had not been shooting for the festival. The fact that I caught only one song, makes it even stranger that it was the best one of the festival for me."

"Big drops of rain start to fall just as the duo Westerburgh & Micaela take stage. For me, the duo is a completely new acquaintance but hardly unpleasant. On the contrary. On the contrary.
Their voices melt together beautifully, they are incredibly tight and they sing with a certain 'umph. Even during the slower numbers the songs have this umph, as in the sad Blues If I Can Walk With You In The Rain. A song which fits quite well on this rainy Wednesday night."
- Eva Lindblad, Norrkoping
"If you would like to work with professional musicians who are also talented with what they do and their skills with management and patrons, then you can certainly work with Dennis & Micaela. Thanks guys for making my job easier."
