The duo is based in Liverpool and plays regularly across Merseyside and the North West and are happy to travel.
King & Byrne combines the talents of two vastly experienced musicians, Jenny Byrne and Derek King. Together they create their own unique sound, their flair and panache lending well loved songs an original and innovative dynamic. The fusion of their individual styles marries the warmth of Derek’s voice with the intricate and often astounding technical fireworks of Jenny’s Spanish guitar.
They excel at tailoring performances to suit any occasion, from laid back easy listening, to upbeat "on your feet dancing". Be it the Beatles, Mariachi, or even a light-hearted version of Tom Jones' Delilah, King & Byrne has something for everyone. The duo are extremely versatile and, as well as vocal performances, they can also provide background instrumental sets. As talented professional musicians, they can provide bespoke arrangements or original compositions and can add clients' choices of songs to their repertoire at reasonably short notice, to make any event extra special.
For wedding events King & Byrne can provide a full day's entertainment: beautiful classical guitar arrangements for the service and daytime reception, followed by the clients' choice of songs to entertain their guests throughout the evening. For an extra special wedding memento, King & Byrne will be happy to quote for a bespoke musical arrangement, including a professional CD recording with the clients' choice of photograph from their special day, a bit of notice is required for this option.
“What a great duo. The musicianship is extraordinary, the musical genre range is so much fun”
