About this Act
The Brighter Side are an acoustic duo formed with Matt on Guitar, loop pedal and the occasional harmony. Kate is on vocals and percussion. The duo was formed in 2013 and has been performing across the North East building a range of requests which helped build the current set list. With an ever-changing sound and style Matt and Kate add their own take to popular songs.
More recently the duo has added a loop pedal, bringing an entirely new sound to their performances; adding a fuller effect and bringing more of a party atmosphere to their live sets. The duo has also started to write original music which has been performed to audiences with positive feedback.
The duo love to perform and engage the audience taking requests from crowd pleasers to the bizarre. They are passionate about ensuring that they constantly adapt their sound to ensure they remain up to date with current trends in the world of music, nothing is off the table.
