The Vintage wedding fair comes to Glasgow

Trades Hall, Glasgow

This Sunday, the Vintage Wedding roadshow stops off in Scotland’s largest city:

Sunday 16th March – Trades Hall, Glasgow 12 noon – 4pm – £5 entry

Alongside the usual high quality smorgasbord of vintage wedding suppliers, Freak Music will as usual be supplying the music on the day. One of our own acts, the Midnight Specials (duo – below) will be entertaining the crowd and the other purveyors with a blend of old school funk and rock. Good pal of the Freak gang, harpist Helen Macleod (below right) will be playing a few sets over the day too, her repertoire is vast and includes many popular tunes and Scottish and Irish traditional music, as well as ‘standards’ from the classical harp repertoire.

To fill in between these two acts, vintage DJ Lord Holyrude (below) will be spinning discs on his decks, and when we say discs and decks, we do mean gramophone records and genuine wind-up HMV gramophone players. Glorious. As well as this lot, Freak Music’s newest recruit Nic will be on hand to answer any questions about booking any of the acts, she’ll also have a jar of lollies and I can recommend the drumsticks. See what I did there?
