Geographically, the South West of England it may be the furthest away area we cover in the UK but we still have a decent array of live wedding acts for hire through Freak Music.
Soulside (above) are a professional functions band based in the South West of England providing a high-level entertainment service to private and corporate clients across the region and nationally. The show takes in the best of the soul, motown, funk and disco genres, erring always on the side of classy. The band performs 100% live; no samples, no cheating, just the excitement of real, live music. With a dedicated sound & lighting engineer and the option of professional DJ services to complement the live sets, Soulside represent the complete entertainment package. Soulside aim to provide a professional ethos in everything they do and pride themselves on a friendly and helpful manner. Mono Vibe (below) are a young energetic band made up of talented and professional musicians. They have gained a great deal of experience on the stage performing many styles of music including Pop, Rock, Funk, Soul, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and many of the top 40. Mono Vibe have performed in many UK venues to great acclaim. With a large repertoire and exciting live shows Mono Vibe always deliver an evening that is full of fun, excitement and great music.
For Three years David Harbottle (right) has played in an 8 piece acoustic/folk band called ‘David Harbottle and The Friendly Cats’, who have toured in Ireland and Europe. David has had extensive experience of wine bar residencies,weddings and corporate events in the last 6 years. His set is largely comprised of music suited to the popular folk genre with some original songs incorporated. His music is accompanied with the vocal harmonies and concertina/keyboard skills of Freya Jonas. He can be booked either as a solo act or with the band.
Samantha de la Haye performs at weddings, private parties and corporate events across the South. She is also a regular performer for some of London’s top hotels including the newly opened Savoy. In September 2011, Ray Davies (The Kinks) asked Samantha to sing/narrate a children’s play that was commissioned by Grazdale Arts for The Great British Festival. Over August Samantha rehearsed and worked closely with Ray until the performance at The South Bank on September 4th 2011.
