Last year a pattern started emerging whereby the amount of Scottish based bands registering tailed off and the English based wedding bands registrations have increased. Find below some recent additions:
SUPERfreak (above) are a Northern-based band of incredible musicians led by a great looking, charismatic and highly energetic front man. The band have been performing professionally for the past eight years. Earlier in their career they wowed the 25,000 strong crowd at Party In The Park and came in the top ten of E4’s urban sounds competition with support slots for Gareth Gates, Louise and Busted. They also provided entertainment for the Bradford Bulls Triple Crown homecoming game and played in front of thousands of people for Pulse FM when they switched on the Xmas lights in Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. More recently they have performed at Reading festival in the Kit-Kat Chunky tent, played at half-time at Doncaster Rovers football ground and various corporate events for clients such as Kenco, Cussons, Siemens mobile and Ginetta Racing.
The duo are both originally from Scotland but now based in London, Whisky and Ginger are a unique and specialised act with an elegant, classic approach to modern hits. Originally from Oban, Mike (guitar, harmonica and vocals) possesses an enchanting, timeless quality to a voice that soothes and shatters hearts, one to be enjoyed in any continent, any generation, any decade. Hailing from Glasgow, Rosie’s (piano and vocals) accomplished instrumental skills and unique, versatile voice are evident as she executes each number with effortless energy and enthusiasm. Together as Whisky and Ginger the duo always dazzle and impress with their unique musical arrangements and natural stage presence and flair.
The Motown Years (right) are one of the UK’s premier Motown/soul band. Fronted by two superb girl vocalists this totally live 6 piece band always give a performance which is highly professional and bursting with energy….. they’ll have everyone dancing to all the Motown and Soul classics right from the word go. This is ‘feel good’ music played at it’s very best.
