Three Card Trick (above) are one of Scotland’s hardest working groups! Currently performing over 20 shows a month all over the UK and recently branching out to Europe, you’re in safe and experienced hands with this trio of energetic, fun loving, talented party animals. Covering everything from ABBA to ZZ Top via hits from Bryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Bowie, Queen, The Beatles, Robbie Williams, The Rolling Stones, The Killers… test the boys – you got a song you wanna hear – they’ll either play it or learn it for you in no time! Three Card Trick have been performing together for 4 years, currently reaching audiences as far afield as Paris with their energetic and slick stage show. Gary Johnstone toured for 3 years with The Elvis Collection and worked with David Bowie tribute Starman Live and was also hand picked to support blues legends Johnny Winter and John Mayall on their recent UK tours. They are three enthusiastic, professional and youthful yet incredibly well experienced musicians, all with music performance degrees (two from Perth College, one from Napier, Edinburgh) who after two years on Glasgow’s south side pub circuit know how to read and entertain even the toughest of audiences! They understand that booking a live band is not just about the music, it’s about creating a party atmosphere for audiences of all ages! They also have an ‘anything goes’ policy – if you shout out a song you want, even if we’ve only ever heard it once, on the radio, on the way to the gig – they’ll give it a bash :-)!

Deborah Shaw
Deborah Shaw

Deborah Shaw (right) is a professional female pianist, harpist and vocalist with a broad range of experience in performing at weddings, hotels, events, functions and in restaurants and bars. She can either perform purely as background or cocktail entertainment creating an elegant ambiance in your venue, or she can take a more central role singing and playing, interacting with audiences and creating a livelier up-beat feel at your event. For weddings, Deborah offers a range of packages and performs regularly at weddings across Scotland. If it is simply music for your ceremony, the harp is an ideal bringing a beautiful visual element as well as an angelic sound to any room (Deborah had a semi grand Lyon and Healy harp as oppose to a smaller clarsach / folk harp). Following your ceremony if you require music for your drinks reception or meal, Deborah can then play an up beat set (on harp or piano) mixing jazz standards with popular contemporary classics.

Blu Velvet play and sing classic jazz and modern songs to a high quality. They delve into the great American Songbook and emerge with tasteful modern arrangements; they cherry-pick the best modern songs from the great singers such as Ella, Nina Simone, Dionne Warwick, Natalie Cole, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, Eva Cassidy, Caro Emerald, Adele, and Edi Reader. They also perform traditional and contemporary jazz songs, as well as delightful acoustic versions of Burns, Scottish and other genres as requested. The band features Carol Stirrat on vocals – her voice has delighted audiences with her jazzy/bluesy style and interpretations. The musical arrangements behind her come from Sandy Rosie (keyboard / guitar), supported by Scotland’s top-flight experienced musicians (double bass, guitar, sax,and drums as required). Blu Velvet adopt a professional approach to their music – they come equipped with good quality instruments and amplification. They supply PA and lighting to suit most venues and they know how to set up quickly and unobtrusively, and will adapt to the needs of the audience and client. They operate to professional standards in all their business dealings.

If you’re looking for a solo jazz option then Gavin Paul is one of Scotland’s most fresh and dynamic Jazz and Swing solo vocalists around, playing to a host of venues all over the UK. Gavin is a natural born entertainer who’s broad repertoire ranges from the classics of Sinatra to the more contempory versions of Michael Buble. Born In Edinburgh he is a former pupil of the prestigious Fiona Duncan Jazz Vocal workshop, working with names such as Sheila Jordan, Mark Murphy, Freddy King and many more. Whether it is a wedding, party or corporate event his smooth vocals are guaranteed to make your event a successful one!!
