Carla Kazana (above) grew up in France and was born into a family of musicians. She started playing piano at 8 years old and studied in a classical music school for 12 years before deciding to learn jazz and more contemporary music. She started singing in choirs when she was young and then began singing at home with her piano too. Carla moved in London in 2015 to study singing, jazz and contemporary music. In June 2018 she graduate at LCCM (London Centre of Creative media) attaining a Bmus in performance and production. When she was young she listened to Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake and got was influenced by 70’s and 80’s music, funk, disco and artists such as Earth wind and fire, Chaka Khan, Patrice Rushen. Since moving to London she explored funk in more depth. She now mainly sings and plays Soul and Funk from the classic 80’s songs to some more contemporary soul.
James Mackay (right) is a full time working musician. He splits his time between gigging bars, restaurants, weddings & various other private functions and running a successful music production and songwriting business. With just a guitar and vocal, James is able too bring a big sound to any any event. His large catalogue of songs crossing many genres/deades, and his natural ability to connect with a crowd has made him a regular in many venues across Scotland, and popular with every audience he plays to.
Poppy Holiday (left) is a professional vintage singer and entertainer. She specialises in 1940’s tribute, 1950’s/1960’s and Chilled Jazz for those extra special events. She offers a quirky show with songs from the wonderful Vera Lynn to Dusty Springfield to some Postmodern Jukebox classics. Poppy has performed at many Corporate Events, Theatres, Black Tie Dinners and intimate evenings with everyone (including the staff) having a ball!
Charlie and the Funk Factory (below right) are a young and vibrant wedding and function band, and perfect fit for any event! Playing classic cover songs, by artists like Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder and Bruno Mars, this nine piece ensemble will get the party started and guests on the floor. For several years they’ve been building a reputation nationally,
and have had some incredible reviews, they will entertain audiences at events up and down the country and are happy to travel further afield if required.
Cherry and the Jailbreakers (bottom) bring the spirit of 50’s rock ‘n’ roll back to life. Channelling classic rockabilly rebels such as Gene Vincent, Wanda Jackson and, of course, Elvis, there’s never a dull moment when The Jailbreakers are on stage. The band are always dressed to the nines, bringing an authentic vintage touch to your event, complete with double bass. They play covers from the original rock ‘n’ roll era plus re-imagined classics right up until the present day. Think Postmodern Jukebox meets Imelda May!
