Glasgow wedding bands.

For reasons I’ve never been able to fully fathom, Glasgow’s music scene has always been more vibrant and varied than anywhere else in Scotland. Edinburgh has always had a good folk scene and the annual jazz festival remains popular. Glasgow just doesn’t need festivals to get people along to gigs. As a result of this, the covers and function band scene is pretty big too.

For example, 3 card trick are one the busiest wedding bands in Scotland. This 3 piece (obviously) play most Sundays in the Scotia bar in Glasgow if you’d like to try before you buy. If you are only after a solo act for either budget or even space reasons ex X-factor act Hollie Burns (pictured) has a colossal repertoire to go with her equally colossal voice and can fit in to the corner of any room.

It wouldn’t really be a Scottish wedding without a Ceilidh but more and more brides and grooms are booking covers and ceilidh bands and the self styled “world’s rockiest ceilidh band” The big shoogle are one of Scotland’s finest exponents of the craft and have plied their trade from here to Moscow in recent years. For the classically minded another good option for wedding is a solo pianist and singer and our Glasgow based  Louise Cairns is a veteran of many an event and can either supply her own piano and PA set up or, even better if your venue has a grand piano there she’d happily play that.
