More Quality Acts Join Freak Music

Our relentless search for talented bands and acts hasn’t slowed down over the last couple of weeks and we are pleased to welcome on board even more quality to Freak Music such as Stax of Motown an 11 piece Soul band celebrating the music from these two Iconic Record Labels. Based in Scotland these Musicians have a passion for Soul and have performed with Hue & Cry , Curtis Stigers, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Wolfstone, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Skerryvore, The Average White Band and Carol Kidd to name a few !

Some more recent additions include:

Laughing Jacks are widely regarded as one of the top function bands in North East. The band features both male and female lead vocals and boasts a wide repertoire of rock, pop, swing, soul and jazz to cater for the varied taste and age range found at weddings, corporate events, parties and restaurants.

Yaaba Funk are a Hi-Life/Afro-beat explosion. A product of Brixton and influenced by 1970’S Ghanaian hi-life, funky sounds of James Brown and UK sounds like Roots Manuva and The Specials.

Hard Drive were formed in 2001, Gary Woodward and Vic Woods saw a gap in the live music market which was yet to be filled. Mining their music from the eclectic, hard-edged and yet endearing seam that encompasses such creative minds such as Gary Numan, Howard Jones and Vince Clarke, for a two-piece outfit they certainly pack some punch.

Off The Rails” is a 2 piece band covering all kinds of music: ceilidh including dance calling, and a wide range of vocals from the 60s through to current releases and scottish/irish songs including material from the Proclaimers and Runrig.

From the second Oasist take the stage, the electricity and authenticity of their performance has truly mesmorised audiences up and down the country. The songs, look and attitude all feature as part of the package as these 4 guys rock the house!!

The Souped Up Fords are a three/four piece blues and soul outfit hailing from the Dundee and Perth area of Scotland. They personify the blues sounds of the 70s and have been compared to the likes of Dr.Feelgood and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Skool Reunion was one of the first “Back to School” Themed bands to be produced in the UK and Europe over 7 years ago so is a real cut above the rest.
