Highlands and Islands wedding acts.

Rhthymnreel

The Scottish Highlands and Islands are famous for many things, the scenery, the friendliness of the people, the occasionally biblical weather and the music. You can trace just about every aspect of Americana folk music, back to Scotland. This part of the world continues to thrive as a hotbed of talent and here at Freak we have a fair few wedding bands in the Highlands on the roster.

Recent acquisition Rhythmnreel, (pictured) were embarrassingly, overlooked by us and we only came across them third hand. This 7 piece celtic rock/Traditional Scottish & Covers Party Band  have a huge following particularly in the North of Scotland, and play a diverse range of gigs and adjusts its set accordingly.

The Skye based 4 piece A&E ceilidh band‘s creative and vibrant style of west coast playing ensures that dancers and musical enthusiasts alike will have their feet tapping all night long!

If you’re after something a little more big bandish and soulful for your event, check out Hooty and the Skyhooks, this  act have been performing since 1985 and have supported and worked with artists such as Showaddywaddy, Deacon Blue and Texas to name but a few.

Highland Hot Club are a swinging combo exploring the virtues of popular music culture from across the multiverse. Their repetoire ranges from Gypsy Jazz, Standards, Hot Country, Latin American & wee bit diddly dee… And you can’t beat a bit of diddly dee, can you?
