About

Firefly – one of the most in-demand function bands of the Midlands and South West – were formed in 2001, and have performed hundreds of live stage shows at some of the most prestigious and exciting venues in England. In September, Firefly headlined at RAF’s Benson’s Battle of Britain concert, entertaining more than 1,000 troops. Last Xmas, they played at the Lloyds TSB’s Xmas Party at a concert venue with a capacity of 3,500 called The Centaur. Last NYE, Firefly was chosen as the headline act at the Cheltenham Town Hall, entertaining 1,000 people. This NYE, Firefly was chosen to play at the prestigious and famous 5 star hotel The Royal Horseguards in Trafalgar Square/Whitehall. The band also recently played at a private function for Duncan Bannatyne (Dragon’s Den) at his hotel in Somerset.

They a group of consummate professionals, whose members have more than four decades of stage experience between them. Between them, the band members have worked with the likes of Katie Melua, The Weather Girls, Steve Winwood, The Wonderstuff, Lipps Inc, Mott the Hoople, Fairport Convention, Robert Plant, Judas Preist, and Nigel Kennedy. The band has attracted press interest, and its lead singer, Suzy Jacoby, has appeared on BBC television and radio, and recently had two of her songs played on the hit US show 90210 (series 2, episode 17).

The band can play for up to 3 hours of live music, and should you wish, you can also add a jazz set, or DJ to your night. Background music, to suit your tastes, is played between sets. They can also provide live jazz music for your wedding breakfast, champagne reception, and even during your wedding ceremony.

The band is based in Cheltenham and regularly play all across the South West, Midlands and Wales. Counties the band plays in includes Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Warwichsire, South Wales, Oxfordshire, London, Cambridgeshire, Avon, Northampton, MIlton Keynes, East Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham, Evesham, Bristol etc.
