London-based band Gumbo La La conjure up the spirit of the 1940s and 1950s by reimagining the sounds of honky tonk, R&B and zydeco music. Taking inspiration from the songs of Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Big Joe Turner, Hank Williams Sr, The Carter Family and Clifton Chenier, Gumbo La La take an old sound - detailed harmonies, accordion, fiddle, double bass, and acoustic guitar - and make it new.
