About
Nike Jemiyo has accumulated over 2 million views on her popular covers on Youtube mesmerising audiences across the globe.
From a young age Nike was immersed in music. By 1999 she had recorded for the Dogma soundtrack at Abbey Road Studios and began training at the Centre for Young Musicians where under the mentorship of Chris Wilson she studied piano, music theory and singing. Nike's parents met in their church choir and she spent much of her childhood and teenage years singing in different choral groups where her repertoire grew from gospel to include classical chamber music through to modern day pop.
Attention around Nike began to peak when people heard her stunning vocal on the quarter of a million times viewed piano remix she created and recorded for the JLS hit The Club is Alive. After tens of thousands of views on piano remixes of Rihanna songs and Use Somebody, the surge in views signalled that things were about to change. Nike's team began to grow; interns, band members and presenters came on board as work on Nike's debut EP release Beautiful came to a close and plans for promoting it began.
Nike is currently writing, gigging solo and with her band of talented musicians, performing at weddings and corporate events and releasing teaser new material. Ronnie Scotts has invited her to perform for a second time and promoters are now making contact requesting that she sings.
Testimonials:
"Nike Jemiyo’s voice is even more beautiful than her newly released debut EP “Beautiful”, which is in it’s own right, very beautiful indeed! That aside, she is one of the most charismatic and talented singers I have had the privilege of working with and has all she needs to take her to the very top of this wonderful slippery slope that is our beloved music business. A rising star, mark my words."
