About
Jayne graduated with a 2:1 (Hons) in Music Performance in 2009. During her studies she was invited to take part in masterclasses with Kate Hughes, Jeremy Huw Williams and Irene Drummond. In addition to this she also gained ABRSM Grade 8 Singing with Distinction and Grade 5 Music Theory.
Jayne is the senior group leader for Aberdeen Youth Choir and the singer in the Stage Door jazz trio (also available through Freak) and she works as a freelance lyric coloratura soprano.
Recent projects include taking part in two world premieres: One of James MacMillan’s ‘Ecce Cor Meum’ during the ordination of bishop Hugh Gilbert, the second with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Aberdeen Youth Choir at the premiere of Cecilia Mac Dowell’s ‘North Light’.
Where are they based?
Jayne regularly sings as a soloist at weddings in Kings College Chapel and around Aberdeen.
