About the Band

The Cutting Edge are one of Scotland's most exciting Ceilidh Rock bands who are equally adept at playing concerts, weddings or Ceilidhs. They are a unique musical experience, fusing Scottish, Irish, Latin and Rock traditions and there music has taken them all over the world playing for ex-pats and festivals from Uganda to Asia and all over Europe.

The Scottish dances are called professionally by the band's keyboard player - a 4 times world champion dancer himself, Derrick Mitchelson.

As well as Ceilidh dances the group can also perform cover version of popular music ranging from U2 , Coldplay and Bryan Adams to smoky Sinatra swing ballads.

They are a group of extremely talented performers and have broadcast many times for BBC Radio.

This band are guaranteed to get the crowd going

Where are they based?

Based in Dundee but play regularly throughout Scotland and across the UK.
