Formed in 2003, Danse McCabre is an extremely popular and lively ceilidh band which comes with its own Caller, Sound Engineer, lighting and stage-dressing. Described as 'fantastic' by Real Weddings magazine, Danse McCabre has built an enviable reputation as THE all-girl ceilidh band in the North of Scotland.
Danse McCabre play traditional ceilidh dances Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Strip the Willow, Eightsome Reel, as well as a few fun and easy-to-learn ones like the Flying Scotsman, the ‘Helicopter’ and the Riverside Jig. All dances are explained and demonstrated where appropriate.
Danse McCabre play for a wide variety of people and occasions and tailor their package to suit client's needs. The aim is always to ensure that everyone has a cracking time whether they've never ceilidh danced before or are a seasoned expert.
Where are they based?
The band are based in Aberdeen and frequently play across Scotland.

Their sample set list includes Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Canadian Barn Dance, Strip the Willow, St Bernard's Waltz, Flying Sotsman, Boston Two Step, Virginia Reel, Highland Schottische, Riverside Jig, Swedish Masquerade, En Deux Troi - Poussez!, Eightsome Reel, Cumberland Square Eight. They can also learn special request dances for clients with a little notice.
