Soul Simplicity present you with a sonic fusion of blues, funk and all‐time classics performed with inimitable style. The band’s influences range from the down‐home blues of the Mississippi Delta to the soulful finesse of Motown to the funk explosion of the seventies, also incorporating modern classics into their own bluesy idiom.
Soul Simplicity were formed from a group of the Edinburgh music scene's brightest and best. All of the band members have worked closely with each other for years, although it was only recently that they decided to form a band, inspired by their mutual love of all things funk, soul and blues.
All of the band members are professionally trained, and possess a high standard of musicianship. Five out of six in the group are graduates of Edinburgh's Ian Tomlin School of music, but this is no mere university band. All of the band members are veterans of the Edinburgh music scene, and all are active participants in the music industry.
Soul Simplicity deliver a diverse set incorporating crowd‐pleasing classics and the soulful strains of the blues. Their live show is presented with a degree of professionalism that can only be expected from such seasoned artists as these.
