About

The Morgan Lee Band (MLB) was formed in 2008 and rehearsed for a full year before making their debut performance. The current line-up comprises Anne Morgan: Fiddles, Viola, backing vocals; Hugh Lee: lead vocals, mandolin, octave mandolin, fiddle, accoustic guitar, harmonica, whistles; Erin Boyle: lead vocals; Clare Spence: keyboards; Tonly Llewellyn: accoustic and resonator guitars, backing vocals; Andy Robertson: bass guitar, backing vocals.

MLB play what they describe as 'Celtic eclectica' - i.e., a range of music within the broad spectrum of Celtic/folk music, from traditional Scots & Irish, Americana, contemporary right through to Basque music and Bob Dylan! They are currently writing their own material including a Christmas single! The band performs to audiences looking for something different from 'covers bands' in pubs, clubs, and at festivals, corporate events and functions. They will even do weddings for people who don't want to hear Brown Eyes Girl and Wonderful Tonight!

All members of MLB have played in various bands throughout their musical histories, from folk to rock and classical. A very common comment from audience members is how much they enjoy the range of music MLB perform. The band wil consider any project and are keen to deliver an exciting and varied performance at every gig. They also set great store in reliability.

Where are they based?

Based in Glasgow but will travel all over Scotland and the rest of the UK.
