THE VANCOOVERS select music from Van’s legendary albums such as Astral Weeks, Moondance, Tupelo Honey, St Dominic’s Preview, Veedon Fleece, Hard Nose The Highway, Wavelength, Poetic Champions Compose, Enlightenment as well as songs from his early solo career and ‘Them’.
This musical tribute aims to recreate the vibrant live and studio recordings and celebrate one of music’s great songwriters and soul survivors.
A must for all fans of Van The Man.
Individuals have also featured alongside musicians such as Van Morrison himself, Dave Gilmour, PJ Harvey, Andy Sheppard, Art Tatum, Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones), Billy Bragg, Ben Waters, Pauline Black (The Selecter), Gordon Haskell, Robbie McIntosh (Pretenders, Paul McCartney, Norah Jones, John Mayer), The Foundations, Geno Washington
The band’s musicians work together in well known South West UK acts such as The Sidekicks, Motel 6, Gothic Chicken, Custer’s Last Blues Band, The Mutter Slater Band, The Jess Upton Soul band, UK Pink Floyd and Triops.
Where are they based?
Based In West Dorset (Weymouth, Bridport, Lyme Regis).
The Band's members regularly travel and play extensively throughout UK and Europe.
