About this Act

Bigtime are a 4-10 piece band fronted by Dave Dudgeon, a veteran of many well known function bands. Dave's distinctive vocals have been enjoyed by many wedding parties and functions throughout the UK.

They perform a wide cross section of music from 60's through to contemporary hits including soul, funk, pop, disco, rock, ballads, country and blues. They specialise in tailoring their set to the clients taste and requirements.

They also offer a ceilidh option with the addition of a fiddle or accordion to the line up. All ceilidh dances are called by the band to ensure that every event goes with a swing.

A bigger band option can be made available with the addition of female vocals, keyboards and brass, if required.

Bigtime also offer an acoustic solo, duo or trio act for smaller, more intimate events.

The Caves, Edinburgh - November 2014
My new husband and I would like to say thank you so much to Bigtime for playing at our wedding it was fantastic and again you proved why we picked you! All of our guest have been raving about you as well as us. You helped to make our day more perfect and we could not have asked for better. I know Dave, you had me nipping your ear a few times with specific songs and how we wanted it as well as bits for on the night but honestly you were all fantastic and we didn't want it to end. You were amazing with your communication and friendliness and Stephanie did some amazing female vocals too we are so glad we chose to have her there too. We had such a laugh and a brilliant night we would recommend you all to anyone!! With our kindest regards and warmest thanks Kelly and Gerard Queen

Rufflets Hotel, St Andrews - September 2014
We'd seen you guys play at our friends wedding last year- and thought 'wow' fantastic band, so when when we were organising our wedding you were our 1st choice (didn't want anyone else).
From the first dance to the last number we knew we had made the right choice, the dance floor was never empty, you judged your audience perfectly and played a very wide range of music which everyone appreciated. Comments from our guests were all glowing 'great wedding band'
Thanks again Dave & co, you were really great...

Eastwood House, Dunkeld - August 2014
We are so pleased that we chose Bigtime to play at our wedding - Dave was fantastic at keeping in touch before the event and then on the day they were sensational - keeping the dance floor busy all night long.  We were really impressed by their sound and quality and everyone has been commenting how good they were!  The Ceilidh dances were also brilliant - and hilarious - as might be expected when the guests are mainly English, Northern Irish and Canadian!  Angela and Andy Pollock.

Arbroath Round Table Ladies Night - August 2014

The second year in a row Dave Dudgeon and his band Bigtime have brought the party to the party. Our theme was country and western and they did us a custom set from their song list and 300 pairs of cowboy boots were on the dance floor all night.
If you book Bigtime for your event, you have to make sure they play La Bamba as you're guaranteed to get an epic conga going!!
When Bigtime take to the stage - exchange Big for Show because it's about to start!!!

Carberry Tower, Musselburgh - April 2014
We cannot speak highly enough of BigTime, they were flawless. From our initial enquiry through to the wedding itself Dave was great in guiding us through the entire process including everything from arranging a piper for our ceremony to providing advice on set lists and was always just a phone call away. Big Time have such a wide ranging songbook that we were confident there would be something for everyone which was proven when the dance floor was always packed. We decided to add a female vocalist for the event as well who was brilliant in adding something extra to the songs as well as guiding us all through the ceilidh which went down an absolute storm. The band created such a great atmosphere and we really can't recommend BigTime highly enough. Lawrie and Lorna McFarlane

Roxburghe Hotel, Kelso - February 2014
Thank you again for such a fantastic performance at the Duke of Buccleuch's Hunt Ball - I think the evening is best summed up by the fact that the dance floor was still packed at 2 am with dancers from 18 to 70 plus!! I have now been to two functions where Bigtime have played, and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Suzie Claydon, Hunt Ball Committee

Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh - February 2014
Bigtime are the perfect wedding band, we could not have asked for better! Dave was so friendly and helpful before the big day, and everybody loved the music. The ceilidh music was quite contemporary and amazing, everyone got up and had such a fun time. The covers were excellent as well, and a really good selection was provided to choose from. All the guests at our wedding have told us what a great band we had, we would highly recommend them to anyone! Erykah & Richard Hall
