The Albanach guitar duo provide elegant arrangements of light classics to energetic Latin dances and moody Spanish melodies.
The Albanach guitar duo have performed extensively over the UK providing music for wedding ceremonies, receptions and corporate events. Recent engagements include music for a corporate reception at the Scottish Parliament, music for number of wedding ceremonies, drink receptions and art gallery openings.
A wide variety of light music is available to choose from ranging from light classical to pop and Latin. Given sufficient notice the duo are happy to arrange music for specific occasions to suit your requirements.
Using nylon and steel string guitars and the dobro for slide playing the duo create imaginative arrangements of traditional fiddle, pipe, harp and even guitar tunes taken from different regions of the celtic diaspora.The repertoire can also include early English music by the likes of John Dowland and William Lawes or contemporary works by John Maxwell Geddes and Peter Maxwell Davies. Music with a Scottish connection features prominently. From early works associated with musicians of the Scottish royal courts to trad tunes and works by contemporary Scottish composers.
Where are they based?
This band are based in Linlithgow but regularly play through Scotland and the rest of the UK.
