Stax of Motown are an 11 piece Soul band celebrating the music from these two Iconic Record Labels. Based in Scotland these Musicians have a passion for Soul and have performed with Hue & Cry , Curtis Stigers, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Wolfstone, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Skerryvore, The Average White Band and Carol Kidd to name a few !…….
Formed in April 2010 , the vision was to create an uncompromising band to bring justice to Artist such as Marvin Gaye ,Aretha Franklin ,Otis Redding , The Jackson 5, Diana Ross & the Supremes, Sam Cooke , Fontella Bass, Sam & Dave, Edwin Star, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, The Isley Brothers and many more….
Where are they based?
Band members come from Tayside and across Scotland but play throughout the whole of Scotland
