About
Puff Uproar and the Shimmering Sound Affair are Falkirk's very own street band. With harmonious, up-lifting, cacophonous brass and a rhythm section that will make your eye-balls rattle with bass-y goodness.
The band aim to transport you from the colourful climes of the Sao Paulo carnival down through South Eastern Europe for complex, Klezmer, crashing cymbals and across to Russia for moody, melodious marching music that cant fail to enrapture your mind and take control of your feet.
Starting off as a community project in 2007 the band are now a 12 - 20 piece group of boho chic musicians that have accellerated since recording their EP at Castlesound Studio in March 2010 and have had success at some of the summer's big festivals in 2010, including Eden, West End, Merchant City, Edinburgh Jazz Festival, Jazz up the Trossachs and T in the Park!
Where are they based?
The band are based in Central Scotland and frequently travel around Scotland and the North of England.
