Ciaran Dorris & Heather Innes are a strong vocal duo with guitar and bodhran backing. They have an extensive repertoire of Irish and Scottish songs and some additional popular material ideal for sing-a-long audiences. In fact they encourage audience participation.
Ciaran and Heather have been friends since meeting and singing independently at the infamous Sunflower Folk Club in Belfast in the eighties. They have worked together in folk band Firefrost and have an annual booking each Christmas day at the Winnock Hotel, Drymen. Ciaran's strong tenor voice and Irish sense of humour perfectly compliment Heather's pure, gentle ballads and they released a much acclaimed duo CD "Waiting for the Calm" while gigging on the UK folk circuit together a few years ago.
Since then Ciaran has concentrated on his songwriting career and has released solo albums and performed with his own band at folk clubs and festivals in the UK. He also hosts his own radio program on Celtic Music Radio to an ever increasing international audience via the internet. Meanwhile Heather has travelled extensively overseas and in the UK with a capella singing duo Caim.
Despite their solo careers Ciaran and Heather have continued singing and touring together giving concerts for Music in Hospitals and their Irish/Scottish folk duo of vocals, guitar and bodhran is also available for hotel concerts to tourists, bus parties and private functions.
Where are they based?
The duo are based in Glasgow and Stirling and regularly gig in the central belt of Scotland.
