The band are based in the West Midlands but regularly travel all over the country to perform.
The Midnight Cabaret Band are Katherine Woolridge (vocals), Iain Jackson (piano) and James Stretton (drums and flugelhorn). The band specializes in performing jazz classics, Berlin cabaret and the cream of showtunes in distinctive arrangements that make the most of their versatile abilities.
The band can provide background jazz for drinks or dinner with repertoire drawn from the great American songbook of the likes of Gershwin and Cole Porter. Alternatively they can provide after-dinner cabaret entertainment featuring the best of Berlin cabaret and Broadway showsongs delivered with style and panache by one of the countries leading cabaret performers, Liberty Pink (aka Katherine Woolridge).
Producing a sound that belies their numbers, the trio can fit into almost any location so are perfect for all types of venue. They bring their own PA and stage lighting where necessary. For larger venues the band may be augmented by a bass, trombone and/or saxophone.
The Midnight Cabaret Band can also perform their touring show 'From Berlin to Broadway' charting the history of Cabaret from it's origins in pre-war Weimar. Through the use of costume, scenery and dialogue you will be captivated by a story of passion, betrayal, rivalry, stardom.. and murder! In full the show is two halves of 50 minutes but sections can be performed as after dinner or corporate entertainment when time is more limited.
