Barulho are based in Brighton, play primarily around the South East and London, but will play all over the UK and abroad
Barulho are a 30-piece Samba Reggae Funk band based in Brighton. They blend Afro-Cuban and South American traditional forms with contemporary funk, hip hop and drum & bass.
Formed in 2000, the band have performed at countless events, from festivals and clubs to private and community celebrations, both nationally and internationally. Including: the night parade at Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Playgroup Festival, Westend Festival Glasgow, Wroclaw Non Stop Festival in Poland and Brighton Pride.
They pride themselves on creating visually stunning costumes which turn any gig into an extraordinary experience: from Barulho Chic for weddings or formal events, to our Arts Council-funded Carnival Bizarre, a troupe of eccentrically-attired troubadours.
We bring any event to life with our infectious drumming, funky beats and spectacular performances – fully acoustic, we can set up quickly for static or mobile events.
