About this Act

Alan has been playing and studying the classical guitar for over 30 years and performs classical and contemporary music including popular film themes. The unobtrusive nature of his act – solo classical guitar (with small amplifier/speaker where required) makes him ideal for a variety of occasions such as small corporate events, wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, dinner/garden parties and exhibitions.

Alan performs intimate classical and contemporary music from across the world. He plays music by composers such as JS Bach, Mike Oldfield, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Domenico Scarlatti, John Barry, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Ludovico Einaudi, Henry Mancini, ABBA, Chopin, The Beatles and many more.

The mix of classical and contemporary music as adapted for the classical guitar will provide a unique backdrop for your important event.

Over the years, Alan has developed a number of music projects and has played and recorded various styles of guitar including blues and rock as part of function/instrumental groups. He has also written and performed his own compositions.

Alan is also a member of the European Guitar Teachers Association (EGTA -UK) and teaches Acoustic, Electric, Fingerstyle, Lead and Rhythm guitar.

If required, an arrangement for a specific song/piece of music that you would like, can be played at your event.
