This band are based in Edinburgh but regularly play across Scotland and the rest of the UK
The Decades are a lively five-piece band from Edinburgh and play the hits from the sixties to the noughties, from Abba to Zutons. They came together with the aim to play high quality hit songs from each Decade – each member grew up listening to music from a particular decade and they wanted to showcase the very best of those years.
They didn’t want to play the “usual suspects” but songs that made it into the zeitgeist, those songs that will be forever in your memories, those songs that form the soundtrack to your life, whatever your decade.
They have all played in countless bands over the years, some of them longer than most – from the sixties to now. The band are multi-instrumentalists and three of them sing, giving a depth and variation to the music.
The Decades performance is a great night’s entertainment for everyone, whichever decade you hail from.
Who's in the band?
Fronted by top female vocalist Rosanna Nardini, there are also male vocals from bass-player Carlos Esmeraldo, with backing from guitarist Sil Delaney, which gives great versatility and contrast. Strings, horn section and the vibiest organ sound around supplied by Dr. Roland Carter on keys with the funky beats laid down by the man at the back, Chuck Delacroix - who unusually doesn’t use an acoustic kit but a set of digital drums (which means they can turn him down to the merest whisper if required).
