Roberts and McMaster aka Making Tracks (below) have been performing together for two years, prior to that as soloists and are regularly booked at a number of venues in the East Midlands. They perform a number of covers with a heavy influence of Americana in the shape of Ryan Adams, Josh Ritter, Neil Young and also a number of well known popular favourites. They are able to pick it up or chill you out with their sweet harmonies. Featured on the ‘BBC’s introducing’ and main stage performers at Bakewell Festival for the last three years. Laid back, no frills, no gimmicks, no backing tracks entertainment.
Atlantico, established in the South of England, are a nine piece band who defy you not to dance. Whether they are locked into the back-beat of Cumbia, the offbeat galloping rhythm of a Porro, or throwing in some Mambo, Merengue or Colombia’s own style of Salsa, you have to get up and move. Native Colombian, Antonio Porras, fronts the band singing in the traditional style particular to his country. Highly talented Colombian percussionist Gregorio Merchan is at the heart of Atlantico’s rhythm section. The distinctive sound of Oren Stone’s accordion weaves insistent melodies that stay with you long after the night is over while the horn section punctuates the music with rich harmonies.
