Four more utterly different style UK wedding acts on the blog today.

The Martinis
The Martinis

Hopefully we’re not being seen to repeat ourselves but we’re featuring a choir for the second time, but if you have a click, look and listen, you’ll realise they’re both worthy of inclusion in the weekly round up of wedding acts on the roster.

The Martinis (above) are a high-energy jazz and swing band performing your favourite songs – with a vintage twist. Alongside a repertoire of classic soul numbers featuring the likes of Stevie Wonder and James Brown, the band will blow you away with their special jazzy arrangements of rock and pop hits. Think a 40s jazz cover of the White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ or a salsa rendition of the Deep Purple gem ‘Smoke on the Water’. Let their two talented vocalists serenade you with their dulcet tones while the rest of the band – including a storming six-piece horn section and full rhythm section – get your feet itching for the dance floor. Whether your favourite tunes are their soul and motown classics or their novel re-arrangements, one thing is for certain: the Martinis will make your event a night to remember.

Konvalia Quartet
Konvalia Quartet

In 2013 four like minded individuals got together to form a new classical string quartet and called themselves Konvalia (right).  These classically trained, professional musicians are; Dorottya Szabados-Drótos (violin I), Marietta Szalóki (viola), Andrea Derdak (cello) and Agata Kubiak (violin II). They are all of European descent and these roots lend a special vigour to their playing. They are as at home performing modern music as they

are classical and jazz standards as film music. They have performed at some of London’s popular venues such as Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, The Houses of Parliament, The Polish Jazz Cafe, Hungarian Cultural Centre, Landmark Hotel and played at Ealing Jazz Festival.

Hayley Louise (left) is a solo singer with a fantastic repertoire to match her awesome vocal talents. She takes her musical cues from acts as diverse as Journey, ABBA, Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. She performs with high quality backing tracks and comes fully armed with a top of the range PA and can also supply a DJ between sets. She has a background in musical theatre, performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a local stage school, playing the lead roles in productions of Annie, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, and My Fair Lady.

Reverie (bottom) is a professional vocal ensemble who specialise in classical music. A young and exciting group, Reverie brings a sleek and professional approach to the classical music market, and making it enjoyable and accessible to all audiences. Whether performing in a concert, providing the music for wedding ceremony, or creating a distinctive atmosphere for a corporate event, Reverie is a flexible ensemble with the ability to tailor their singing to each individual event.

The group is building an international reputation, after tours to Hong Kong and Macao in 2015, and a tour to Sydney, Australia planned for November 2016. Reverie has appeared at some of London’s major concert venues, including St. John’s Smith Square, Holy Trinity – Sloane Square, and an upcoming concert at the Tower of London.
