A bit of piggery and a bit of croonery this week on the UK wedding act sign ups.

Abi Phillips
Abi Phillips

Born and raised in Birmingham into a musical family solo acoustic act Abi Phillips‘ (above) musical background reaches back into her early teens where she would perform in her parent’s wedding band. Since those days her love for music has grown insatiably and she is the proud owner of a large repertoire of songs that span across various genres including folk, country, pop and many sub-genres in between. Abi’s first significant break came after writing a song for Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks titled ‘Missing You’, which was written after being inspired by a lead characters storyline and later submitted, after which the song was used on the show. Following strong response to the song, executives from Hollyoaks arranged a meeting and subsequently Abi to audition for the part of Liberty – a musical character the show had been developing for some time.
