The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) opens up September Submissions…

Freak Music is proud to be supporting the International Songwriting competition again this year. If you missed out on the early bird deadline back in July you can still take your chances and enter what the NY Times calls “the songwriting competition to take note of,” and for a chance to share in over $150,000 in cash and prizes, including a Grand Prize of $25,000 cash and over $25,000 in prizes.

This competition is renowned for having the most prestigious judges of any music competition on the planet, and the judging panel is comprised of high-profile recording artists and influential music industry professionals including Tom Waits, Jeff Beck, Nas, Martina McBride, Bernie Taupin (Elton John Lyricist), Derek Trucks, Janelle Monae, Monte Lipman (President of Universal Republic Records), and many more. The next cut off date is the 20th of September and the cost of entry between now and then is $30, and it will increase after that so if you’re interested, apply soon.
