It’s a jungle out there…

Jungle City

Since the dust settled on the various festivals Edinburgh hosts every August, a very different breed of tourist has taken up residence on the streets of the city. See below:

Jungle City are keen to stress although they do look nice, they’re not just there for decoration, they’re all for sale at a charity event on the 29th of September at the newly refurbished National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street. They pride themselves on being the only art exhibition of its kind in the world today which is of animals, for animals and they are a whopping 100% charitable, which  means ALL the money they raise goes towards celebrating the magnificence of Asia’s endangered

wildlife, generating mass awareness of their plight and making everyone smile at the same time. Among highlights of the event, you will find a herd of life-sized Asian elephants lead a community of brightly painted orangutans, hornbills, tigers and crocodiles through the streets, parks and buildings of the world’s most iconic cities with the aim of raising £50m over the next ten years for their survival.

Freak Music are proud be supplying the music for the event in the shape everyone’s favourite noisemakers: Clanadonia so if you’re planning to go along to bid, take your earplugs as well as your chequebook…
